  •  And like it or not (6+ / 0-)

The only way they either stop being crazy or finally get shut out of the national conversation is if people like Christie take them to the woodshed.

They aren't going to listen to me, to you, to Obama, to Maddow, to Kos, to Sanders, or anyone else.

They may well not listen to Christie, either.

But eventually, if enough Christie's say some version of the same - some of them will peel away.  The media will stop giving bigots platforms.  They'll be relegated to the dustbin or dank basement (I don't care which).

The fights that we need to fight - and many of them ARE with people like Christie - are easier to fight if the field isn't cluttered with bullshit that gets in the way.

    •  it's pretentious of him and hypocritical (0+ / 0-)

to criticize the 'crazies', and who is he really referring to anyway, our first assumption being people who make anti muslim remarks about his judge, but with a thug like Christie he would almost certainly be including all his critics..and that would be..well, (most of) us.

And that's why I say he's tacking to the center, he appealed to these people, he got their votes, he took their money, and now he shits on them. It all is too familiar, like he's in a primary.
        Not impressed with his hypocrisy.

Of course he and anyone should defend against racist thugs, great, I'm sure he's nice to his goldfish, but can't forget and forgive his attacks on teachers and unions and so many others.

I hope people save and send the video to their hard core racist friends and relatives, maybe it'll help.

      But I hear you too,

They may well not listen to Christie, either.

        I don't think they will.
      At all.
