... to the UCMJ rule that a military person has the right, duty even, to refuse to follow an illegal or immoral order, and can't be held culpable for refusing to follow an illegal or immoral order.

It's what Lt. Ehren Watada used when he refused to serve in Iraq.  He said he didn't wish to participate in a war crime - and the invasion and occupation of Iraq based on lies for oil was, indeed, a war crime.  (Unbelievably, the military even tried to go after Watada for what they saw as 'criticizing the president.'  What a crock!)

Watada has been my hero throughout these years of illegal and unconstitutional wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.  He acted with the highest moral and ethical behavior possible.

Gee..., I wonder what would have happened to the people under Rummy if they had refused to torture this fellow who is now going to be able to sue Rummy...???

I'm sick of attempts to steer this nation from principles evolved in The Age of Reason to hallucinations derived from illiterate herdsmen. ~ Crashing Vor
