    Incumbents can't escape the fact that they are part of the government.

    Some can -- if Ron Paul were running again, he could.

    But...

    every Democrat and every Republican is part of a party that played a role in mess after mess.

    Democrats might benefit in Congress from the fact that it's Speaker Boehner now instead of Pelosi, and even pick up a few seats by lack of guilt by association.

    On the other hand, it's a Democrat in the White House and Democrats in the Senate, so Republicans might not get hit as hard as they should be.

    Personally, I haven't got a clue how all of that will balance out.
