I'm a lifelong resident of WI and I've been here for 64 years.   What this Republican cabal did was absolutely wrong.  They ran stealth campaigns and once elected they slammed the handcuffs on the people of this state with vengeance.  They have earned no right to be treated as legitimate owners of the positions they now hold.  WI was a test case by Rove and the shadow money that funds and supports the current Republicans nationwide.  We intend to send them a message they will never forget and we're about to kick their evil asses out of this state and out of power here for generations.

People in this state WERE polite when it came to our protests--and our "thanks" for that was to be virtually locked out of our own State Capitol building for months.  These people mean harm to this state and its people and they made that abundantly clear with their thug-like tactics once they took office---actually Walker started pulling crap before he was even inaugurated.  Sending the officers of the State Patrol to the homes of the Dem 14 to threaten and intimidate their family members is NOT a "polite" thing to have done.  Sending those officers to the IL/WI state line in the hopes of arresting them if they dared try to return home is NOT a "polite" thing.  You don't bargain with the person mugging you; you don't negotiate with someone who wants you dead.  These people who captured our state government are not benevolent and are undeserving of any signs of respect.   They thought they could intimidate us and we'd just sit back and take it.

We're sending the message loud and clear that democracy matters and those who want to kill it won't be doing it on OUR land or in OUR government.  Unless you've lived here during this coup d'etat you really don't know what we're up against.   They weren't backward about screaming State Rep. Peter Barca down when he tried to stop their crushing public employee unions via a meeting that violated our state open meetings law.  They're nothing but bluster and threats and lies.  We will NEVER be silent in confronting these people.

Objecting to our governor’s policies does not make a citizen of Wisconsin a criminal. Not yet, anyway. ~ nelangst
