    confront 'scabs' who will work against our resolve - to undermine, to subvert and defuse our strength with doubt.

     My hope is that passions are controlled and sufficiently resolute to maintain a non-violent approach throughout so as to reduce violence.

      I'm not aware of any violence that came from a union. In all the cases I can recall, it was the owners who initiated any violence---and the workers who then defended themselves. It wasn't our choice.

      I advocate exactly what the law says---people have a right to defend themselves when attacked.
