    I remember that like it was yesterday and an old timer next to me in my Union Shop explained it almost the way you did with a spot on prediction for the future of unions. I remember him turning to me and saying "I'm glad I'm not your age because I'll be retired before the shit hits the fan."

    Personally I think it started way before that day. Started with think tanks ramping up that passing out of toxic info about unions and reforming messages. Started with mayors in blue towns making municipal workers the enemy long before the hammer got the presidential seal. Started so many ways but on this day thirty years ago it was "in your face" all out war against the workers.

    Thank you for the reminder of that dark day. It should add a charge to the workers.
