    so to speak. I went to Ed Schultz's thing. Place was mobbed from the LM all the way back to the old Smithsonian building, although you'd never know it from the media.

    And I noticed there were fences all over the place. DC used to be a lot more open. The mall itself was fenced off because the grass is poor, so we were restricted to the pea gravel. I don't expect the grass to have improved either, our weather has been horrid.
