And thanks for the info on Gawthrop and the upcoming conference.  I hadn't heard of that.  Any idea where that conference will be held?

The FBI powerpoint story was covered by unspeakable in a great diary here, but its always good to see more POV on it.

The government has been telling us since September 12, 2001 that the United States is "not at war with Islam".  As a Muslim American, I can tell you that sometimes I no longer believe that.  Actions speak louder than words, or so they say.  Judging from the actions of American citizens toward Muslims since 9/11, whether those citizens worked for the government or acted in their own capacity, a large portion of the population does indeed seem to feel they are at war with Islam, despite government reassurances to the contrary.

Republished to Muslims at Daily Kos.

        Solidarity!

I would love to see more coverage of what goes on at the ICTOA.

It is reprehensible that two members of the LA County District Attorney's office will also be speaking there on "policing jihad."  This goes to show that LA County Sheriff Lee Baca may be surrounded by officials or even employees who do not share his enlightened and informed approach to positive collaboration with Muslim American communities.
