    When I travel or eat out (both rarely), I have to check what I eat for being too fatty more often.

    Not out of dietary purity or long-term health concerns (though I do watch what I eat), but because if I eat too much that is deep fried, it will be unpleasant.

      is soybean and/or canola oil. These are not food oils. Soybeans are not digestable except when fermented. Even the Japanese have trouble digesting edamame. Cold-pressed corn, sunflower, and olive oils come from food. If deep-fried foods give you fits, I suspect it is because they are fried in canola oil, which is a mustard seed oil. That or you have the beginnings of gall bladder disease.
