    That is actually where the significant threats to health are, if it never cools off enough at night for the body to recover. It is why my area (Dallas/Ft. Worth) has continued to have Extreme Heat Warnings - we aren't getting below 80 degrees overnight.

    Irritates me that the media aren't doing better at educating about that. They go on about not over exerting, drinking water, yada yada - and all good stuff. But encouraging people without AC to get out to cool places for some hours during the day is not just a matter of casual comfort - we need to cool off. Elderly and health challenged folks aren't going to go spend the night in a "heat relief shelter", but they might go spend 4 hours playing dominos or bingo in the afternoon/evening - especially if someone told them it had health implications.
