    Imagine that, an elected official speaking to a homeless person!  Are they even allowed to vote?

    With luck, this incident might also lead to a discussion of the Reagan boom in the homeless population...

      ...these years most politicians and all Very Serious People have come to believe that if someone is homeless it's all their own fault.

        is a big problem -- where should they vote?  To many, the answer is: "nowhere."

        In my avatar, the blue bars show how many want Reps who COMPROMISE; the aqua bars show who wants Reps who STAND FAST no matter what. (Left=Overall; Center=Democrats; Right=Republicans.) And there's the problem!

          we were instructed that for people with no permanent residence that a description of where they sleep (i.e., park at corner of Elm and Main) was to be used in lieu of an address.
          But yes, I would think that it would be very rare for a homeless person to be registered, and rarer still that they would vote.

            shelter to register.  Of course, for that, you need to have shelters.
