  •  Managers (4+ / 0-)

They're wholly unequipped to do what you and I do every day (I'm a CO tech) and they know it. The individual managers are terrified. Make them climb poles, make them pump out a manhole, make them run in a cross-connect for a T1. When they begin to fail at it, and they WILL fail, that's when the union wins.

Last time we were on strike, and we were only out two days, we found out that they had four managers working in my CO. I do the job alone most days. And they screwed up every POTS order they touched. Imagine what it'd be like if they're suddenly swamped with orders and trouble tickets. I'd give up a day's pay willingly to watch my manager do the wiring in a DSX bay, when four of them can't even handle the POTS work. It'd be hysterical.
