      canvassing, and a surprising number of people are willing to share their thoughts (although many do prefer not to, or to yell at me).

      Often, they are hopelessly ignorant and misinformed. That's the stem of the problem. An underfunded educational system and an incompetent media promoting a corporate agenda.

        That's the other side of this.

        I don't care how ignorant or misinformed a person is if they're not voting. In that case, it really doesn't matter.

          w Republicans win elections when only 20-30% of the electorate supports their policies, they discourage half from voting.
