  •  Lovely diary. (8+ / 0-)

Gardening has taught me some of the most important lessons of my life. Such as there are things you can control and things you can't; all you can do is do what you can do. Work the soil, amend it, plant, weed, tend, pick, and eat. Those things you can't control (rain, sun, temperature, moles, voles, etc), you just have to let go of.

Gratitude for rain, sun, rain, beneficial insects and micro-organisms, rain, pleasant temperatures, rain, the cycle of life and interconnectedness, rain. Occasionally we get too much rain, I am still grateful. And beets.

Lately, I have spent most of my time in the kitchen putting up tomatoes, purple hulls, butterbeans, green beans, and cukes. Not a bad way to spend my time.
