"After getting 98 percent of what they wanted".

    What's wrong with that picture?

    What wrong with us?

    •  We do not control the house, senate is broken. (0+ / 0-)

Just to answer your question. What's wrong with us is we lost an election and the Senate is a broken institution. It has nothing to do with the President, as some would like to believe. It has everything to do with boots on the ground come mid term election time.

But, I am "drifting" in my belief that Obama has the leadership skills to actually take control of the reigns.  Good speeches...nice little press conference snipets..."we should", "we need to" remarks just don't get it.

He's the president, for crying out loud.  I'm not saying that trumps any other branch of government...but, it IS, and always has been, a very important directive branch of government.  I know it's quaint...but, it's time for LEADERSHIP.  The president is elected to LEAD.

Gotta go before I spin myself into a tizzy.

you where you can only conclude one of two things: 1) Obama is clueless about what it is the President can do; or 2) Obama is not clueless, he is simply doing what he thinks is right. Either way, those of us who think of the country as a democracy--not a capitalist economy--are doomed.
