The congress will not pass a jobs bill this year...PERIOD.  The GOP will not do it.  She is just speaking frank.  I mean she isn't saying she wouldn't be for one or doesn't want one.  She is just saying it won't happen given who is in charge as well as the gridlock amongst both parties to solving anything.

Voters will say "well what the hell do we need you in office then if you're gonna do nothing?"

that she won't try to get something passed but it won't happen.  It is like so many bills Pelosi run House got through which were never approved of in the Senate.  Things don't get done with obstruction.  That is all she is saying.

    •  She does not blame GOP (not in these articles) (2+ / 0-)

      She blames "Congress".

Congress will not pass a jobs bill if Democrats don't push for one.

They still may not, but at least the public will know the Democrats tried, which is worth something more than Obama and McCaskill obviously think it is.

Losing is one thing if you've fought hard and lost.

Losing is quite another thing if your side didn't even try.

We'd rather dream the American Dream than fight to live it or to give it to our kids. What a shame. What an awful, awful shame.

problem.  Patent reform is an insult to everyone's intelligence.  Deregulation is right out of the Republican playbook.
