The GOP will make a major push this fall for the REINS Act, which would require all major regulations to get a vote in Congress.

    So.....this isn't currently required?

branch interprets it and enforces it. Which is why no matter what the law was under BushII, environmental laws were always ignored. And why OHSA safety regulations were never approved, etc.

Bipartisan analogy: Both musicians and fishermen want more bass.

administration has been using quietly and effectively.  Regulatory control.

Now one must admit that having such under the executive means that with bad execs (Bush) things go to hell, but really it's just another power grab by Congress to simply tie up ever more of the government in a way that a small number of idiots (aka teapartiers) in Congress can render the gov't completely ineffective.

      Perfectly Norquistian bathtub drowning legislation.

    •  Nope. The laws delegating authority to admin (0+ / 0-)

agencies to regulate a certain area and funding them come from Congress.

Rules come from the agency and are developed and adopted according to the requirements for adopting administrative rules.

We'd rather dream the American Dream than fight to live it or to give it to our kids. What a shame. What an awful, awful shame.
