  •  Okay, you're not seeing that (6+ / 0-)

putting our people into office for a year, a crucial year for the rest of Walker's agenda, is important.

And people can rent an apartment in a district -- several current legislators on the Repub side are doing this.

And, of course, there are court challenges being discussed that could put the redistricting on hold, since Walker and his minions violated the process that is law today.  To fix that, they plan to just change the law -- but if we win the Senate majority, that could stop a change in the law that would make legal the way this redistricting was done.

And there are other resorts, ploys that have been played before, including in Wisconsin -- where redistricting plans have been delayed for years in past by the pols in power.

So which pols we put in power today still matters.

is complex, and especially in Wisconsin, it seems.  You can google a history of it from the Legislative Reference Bureau that lists lots of court challenges, delays, etc., in past, too.

Admittedly, this time around the Repubs are rewriting the history by blatantly flouting the process by law -- but that may mean a stronger position for challengers in court.
