      But I think it's been calculated that in terms of living standards, the actual real earnings of most Brits (static wages, loss of benefits, rising costs) has shrunk by 10 percent or so.

      This has particularly hit the young who no longer see a viable future. This even hits my relatively privileged kids, aged 18 and 21.
