    I said nothing specifically.

    There's a difference. There are a whole lot of modern things the Constitution doesn't specifically address. It wasn't designed to, and it uses vague, weasly words as due course.

    It is instead designed to give a general description and limitation to the powers of the federal government. Thus government can provide for the "general welfare."

    Or, government can "regulate interstate commerce."

    If you think SS counts as the former, then the Constitution says you can do it, if you think it doesn't, then it probably doesn't...but the point that the Constitution doesn't specifically say you can do SS therefore you can't is just amateur-hour analysis.
