  •  "Vastly prefer" is really not the issue. (0+ / 0-)

I am deeply critical of Barack Obama's presidency.

I also vastly prefer him to anyone among the GOP candidates.

The people who get accused of being Obama's "fans" are those who pitch fits about those critical of his economic policies without, you know, actually mounting any substantive defenses of his economic policies.

And one way to do this is to try switching the subject from those economic policies to the awfulness of the GOP.

opposition, and the GOP filibuster in the Senate, no Obama economic policy that Obama would design would ever have a prayer of passing.

If Obama were dictator rather than President, or if progressives EVER had a REAL filibuster-proof majority in Congress, the economic policy would be way better.

You've never seen Obama's economic policies, because he never forwards policies that he believes don't have a prayer of passing.

Give him more progressive Congressional support through election wins, and his "economic performance" will improve.

Obama IS a Keynesian.  Congress isn't.

So the economic policy you're seeing in the Obama years is not Obama's.  It's Congress' economic policy.  They've blocked him at every turn, and the propagandists at the networks, especially Fox News, and almost all talk shows on AM Radio, have cheered the obstructionists on.  The Supreme Court decision "Citizens United" ensures the unlimited funds to combat everything President Obama wants.
