he can do what Buchanan suggests (just about his only good ideas) and start a trend -- write a big CHECK to the IRS. Call a news conference as he hands it over to the government.  Challenge all his rich buddies and Hollywood types to do the same...start a trend... Like when Sarah Jessica Parker (and it still baffles me why she is a star) was complaining about the government not doing enough for her relatives on welfare. Really? you are a begillionaire and you complain that I, the taxpayer, is not doing enough for people in your own family?

He is just spouting off knowing two things 1) there is little to zero chance in the near term of his proposals actually being put into place and 2) He gets lots of nice press from the media about what a thoughtful guy he is...

Unless he is sending in some serious extra coin... all I hear is blah blah blah.

He is giving the bulk of his estate away.  Depending on valuations of BH stock, it's over $40 billion, with most given to the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation.

Buffett doesn't need the press coverage.

and you support a draft, even if you might get called up... it doesn't mean you have to enlist.
