  •  He can't afford to get angry (0+ / 0-)

Obama has known this all along:  he must never ever lose his cool.  We want him to start acting like a pit bull? As we have seen, a big chunk of the country already views him as an angry, unyielding socialist dictator.  The Repubs would love nothing better than for him to start acting like one, and give them something to strike at, instead of rope-a-doping them.  Heck, if he gets uppity enough, there might be traction for an impeachment move.  But Obama has played the Rethugs skillfully.  He who loses his cool, loses.

    •  Wrong. (0+ / 0-)

He doesn't need to get loudly angry.  He does need to get determined.

Right now, the Republicans don't need to impeach him.  He does whatever they want him to.  When they say jump, he says "how high"?  It's infuriating.

There's a money quote from Obama at a town hall in a Maureen Dowd column recently.  Read it.

He really is deliberately giving away 90%.

Read pp. 1-7 of Krugman's _The Great Unraveling_ (available from Google Books). NOW.
