  •  If they did, it would be great... (6+ / 0-)

today it feels like the world is conspiring to irritate me, personally. Weeks ahead of the hormones, too, what's up with that?
Of course, I used to have a shirt that said "Just because I'm moody doesn't mean you're not irritating."
Although, maybe it's my class that's the problem, cause I'd love to be in Congress making Paul Ryan pee himself from my dirty looks.

    •  I made your calls and will try more (11+ / 0-)

I'm from MO, and I realize that the GOP hasn't been truthful to voters about this election.  I made about 15 calls and only talked with 3 people, but I left messages for about 7 people.  Hopefully, they will get home, hear the message, and go vote.  The phone bank form needs another option...wrong number or number disconnected.  I had about 5 of them and wasn't sure how to report the call.  I just listed them as 'not home'.  If they had the 'wrong number or number disconnected' option on their form they could update records so we don't waste time recalling an incorrect or disconnected number.

      •  I just mark them as "refused" (6+ / 0-)

The protocol that anyone monitoring these lists would follow for now would be the same for a wrong/bad number as for a refusal -- "don't call them again" -- but it doesn't matter much.  "Not home" would normally lead to another follow-up call, but there's not enough time for it anyway!  Thank you for pitching in!

In my avatar, the blue bars show how many want Reps who COMPROMISE; the aqua bars show who wants Reps who STAND FAST no matter what. (Left=Overall; Center=Democrats; Right=Republicans.) And there's the problem!

Your answer makes sense, so I'll use that in future calls for the wrong numbers/disconnects.  I wasn't sure what 'refused' was for.  I thought maybe it was only for people who said they would not vote or would not vote Democratic.

and if it weren't so close to the election, that's what it would be for.  But here and now, the distinctions aren't that important.  If they'd cared enough about the distinction, they would have had an extra radio button for it.
