    of the story. It's been a few months since I read it, so my memory may be off, but the way I remember it is that Aibileen wrote everything out in longhand, and Skeeter's role was limited to typist. Aibileen was, in every sense of the word, a writer. It's too bad if that doesn't come out in the movie.

      fact that Aibileen is writing big parts of the book and the editor doesn't know it. The book does such a good job of talking about labor issues in a story setting, IMO.
