you aren't entitled to to your own facts. He was convicted of two counts of murder one.

Doesn't address the issue of whether he was framed or not, but you bleed credibility denying fact.

    •  what I said is true (4+ / 0-)

he was convicted of murder yes but he wasn't found guilty of actually shooting the agents no matter how many names you call me. The prosecutor said he didn't know who shot the agents nor did anyone else. Peltier was convicted on evidence that he was there and everyone was shooting. His conviction for murder was for aiding and abetting in the deaths of those agents.

    •  yea, convicted after they intimidated witnesses, (4+ / 0-)

concealed exculpatory evidence, and lied their heads off.  "

U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals said of Peltier's trial:

"Much of the government's behavior at the Pine Ridge Reservation and in its prosecution of Mr. Peltier is to be condemned. The government withheld evidence. It intimidated witnesses. These facts are not disputed."

There's your "facts."  He was framed, and when they couldn't uphold being trigger man they fell back on "aiding and abetting."  Which is it?  Shot Cole execution-style or "aiding and abetting?"  Government lied.

      •  And yet the 10th (0+ / 0-)

did not overturn the conviction. The 10th chastised the bad actors in the Government, but ultimately believed in Peltier's guilt.

In a case like this however "guilt" is a relative term.

I was merely pointing out that cacamp's statement that he was convicted of "aiding and abetting" is simply not true. "Aiding and abetting" would be driving the car; rightly or wrongly he was found guilty of Murder 1 for "his participation" in the shootings.

        •  The 10th did not believe in Peltier's, as you say, (4+ / 0-)

"guilt."  YOU said that, not the 10th.  Show me where the 10th used the word "guilt."  You can't.  Because you are lying.

Leonard was shooting at people who were shooting at old woman and children.  Why no word about that?  60 Indians dead in 3 years, in a town the size of most small towns.  That's a genocide.  Why aren't you at least as outraged at that as you are at the deaths of a couple of federal officers?

          •  The 10th (0+ / 0-)

did not act on the writ.

            They upheld his continued incarceration.

but it is not true that the 10th affirmed Leonard's "guilt."  It upheld his conviction, in defiance of its own reasoning.

and as long as I'm correcting myself I may as well add I meant the word "massacre", not "genocide."  : (

      •  He admitted to shooting at the agents. (0+ / 0-)

Do you believe that he was framed in his own autobiography?

    •  There's no need for that sort of thing here. (0+ / 0-)

      Your disrespect is outrageous.
