and the fucking oligarchy in this country is fine with that.  That is why the country drifts right in the way a twig goes over the Niagara falls.  The left isn't allowed to influence the Democratic party-- even to the point that the Democrats had to be the one s to pass god-forsaken NAFTA selling out labor forever-- because the the people with all the money want to make damn sure money = speech in "both" parties.

by keeping them in office and influencing from within.  There's no way to influence while they're out of office.  The whole point of this diary btw

had the left stopped attacking Democrats and started attacking the real enemies of progress-Republicans.

              No question.

              •  Enough of your bashing the Left. (0+ / 0-)

Take it to the more natural grounds for that sort of shit.  Like redstate.com

                Or OFA.

Both of those sites have all the room for hatred of liberals you might want to wallow in.  Around here, it's just going to get you HR'd.

HR's are a badge of honor.

I'll keep telling it like it is, and you can keep demonstrating you can't deal with reality all you like.

you're spouting sad pathetic memes that make the complicity of the "go along to get along" wing of the party easy to live with for yourselves.

              •  that is nonsense. (0+ / 0-)

First off, Bush actually got registered Democratic votes in Florida.  Way too many.  Look it up.  Why would a registered dem vote for Bush in Florida?  OH, well the "centrist" dems were upset over the sex scandals.  Gore said over and over in the debates on TV that "actually I agree with Governor Bush on this issue", making it easy for the center of our party to vote for the compassionate conservative.

The left of our party didn't give a fuck about the sex scandal.  We remain pissed about NAFTA and all the bad shit Clinton actively pursued to cut the republicans off in the chase for Wall St money.

But Gore won.  Had 2 things happened that the left had nothing to do with, he'd be president.  First he should've done the obvious thing and just ask for the whole state to be recounted.  This idea of only recounting the districts where the problems were reported was a recipe for failure and it was known to be a bad idea at the time.

Second, the truth is Bush stole it.  His brother ran the state.  His cousin called it on Fox.  His daddy's supreme court gave it to him.  But rather than admit these obvious truths you blame the left.  I'm not your scapegoat.  I'm not going to sit by while you blame the only part of this party that makes it worth being a part of.  You can keep your "single payer is too radical" and "well better we pass NAFTA than the them do it" wing of the party that makes god damn sure we look like we stand for nothing at all.  They voted for Lieberman and voted for Bush.  My wing knows the score.
