    those issues. They are never waived, because they determine whether the case can go forward in a court, in round 1. It sounds like Snyder is trying to avoid all of that.

    Tell me, is the State Supreme's acceptance of a gubernatorial request one which in MI must be accepted or can they say 'no'.

     The presence of the referendum does make me wonder if Snyder is trying to shop for a friendly forum  so that he can get a decision before the referendum happens (assuming all the usual stuff about signatories and the like). And could they get a trial and a ruling off in Supreme before the referendum since the highest court in a state usually does not do trials? Perhaps he is avoiding the possible injunction pendente lite by doing this.

      However, they said "yes" to his request earlier this summer to rule on legal challenges to his taxing of pensions. That process starts in September.
