    For prosperity ever since air conditioning became available to the masses.

    Building infrastructure designed to enrich developers and expand population growth is a multi-layered burden for future generations and the natural environment.

    The motto in Las Vegas during the 1990s was "growth begets growth", and local electeds here always assumed we could "grow our way" out of any problems we had. Now the growth is slowing down dramatically, and all of a sudden we can't escape our problems any more.

    And it's not like Phoenix or Salt Lake City is really innocent, either.
