    Take that away from insurance companies, hospitals and doctors and you'll reduce health care costs drastically. Negotiate and regulate pharmaceutical companies and end advertising of drugs. BTW, this is the only country where that is still allowed and the pharmaceutical companies include PR costs in their R&D budgets.

    ACA does not gor far enough and leaves too many people out or without the right coverage. Nor does ACA guarantee access to care.

    What little positive it does could have been done without the mandates and the give away to the insurance & pharmaceutical industry.

      the mandate is to make sure healthy are included with ill. if the SCOTUS rules against it, we'll find out what effect it had. As I noted in the original post, mandates are always unpopular at first. Medicare is a mandated system.

      We can't change the US from a capitalist system with a wish list. There's good and bad but certainly a lot of expense with the system we have, as well as innovation.

      As noted repeatedly, i prefer a government run single payer system that carves out insurance companies. But we have to work with what we got.
