    legislation promoted by the President and Harry Reid and Speaker Pelosi were: Lieberman ,  Blanche Lincoln,  Mary Landrieu, and Ben Nelson ( as least as far as the public option went ) as I recall....3 out of those 4 will soon be gone.

      pay a price?  LBJ certainly would have.  Instead, Obama supported Lincoln and not Halter, and he was so solicitous of Lieberman it was nauseating.  What price did Lieberman pay for supporting McCain?  A Chairmanship of Homeland Security.  Pathetic.

        And LBJ, as noted, had HUGE majorities. It is must easier to exact a price when you don't need every single Senator for every single bill and every single nominee.

        Without Lieberman post ACA there's a lot of judges not seated, and a lot of bills not passed.
