  •  Loud and proud against Obama. (0+ / 0-)

Quiet and demure for Bob Casey and local Democratic Party.

    •  Undying loyalty to Obama (0+ / 0-)

That's right, against Obama, and I stated my reasons. You choose not to address them because of your undying fealty to Obama.

Undying loyalty to politicians is a concept I think most people would shudder at.

But it's rampant on this site.

When our deficit warring Republicans say today that they would never approve a tax increase under any condition, the only reasonable response is a hearty laugh, a reference to WWII, and a two-by-four across the brow. - L.Randall Wray

      •  I understand you just don't have time to (0+ / 0-)

support Bob Casey and your local Democratic Party.  You are exhausted.

Use what little time you have wisely.  Never plug Bob Casey and the Democratic Party when you can un-plug.

        •  Citizen action for the people, not politicians (0+ / 0-)

I don't have time. I have to earn a living. I would find time to support a true progressive movement, though.

Once again, the most important thing in life isn't support for politicians.

Other things matter a whole lot more.

You should realize that the gains of the 20th century happened because of direct action by citizens.

Not stepping in a voting booth and pulling a lever or working for a politician.

          •  If you get a minute though, be sure to keep (0+ / 0-)

publicizing how you are not going to support the head of the Democratic Party.    Anything else just takes too much time and is exhausting.  Voting doesn't work.  Takes too much time.  Direct action now that is what works.  But you are too busy.  So we are screwed.

            •  Understand a few things (0+ / 0-)

Do you think workers rights, women's suffrage, civil rights, SS, or Medicare were on the ballot?

You really think they got voted in?

If you understood any history, you would know that the Democratic Party wasn't the ones to first propose these things.

It was determined actions by those groups that led to the Democratic Party adopting some of those proposals in the aftermath of the Great Depression. Those groups didn't get to vote for those things. They mobilized support for their causes, and gained enough popularity to elicit a reaction by Democrats.

From the 1870's to the Great Depression the Democrats operated much like they do now. It was people power that got the change Democrats are famous for now.

              •  Don't do what you must not do for whatever reason (0+ / 0-)

please don't let my judgmental smirk spur you to action of any kind.

Argue hard and long for the hopelessness of it all.

Stand still and hold your breath, pass it on.

            •  You do realize that the "head of the Democratic (0+ / 0-)

Party" doesn't totally support the Democratic Party, right?

              Sure, you do.

              •  I know, hold your breath and all will be well. (0+ / 0-)

Refuse to do anything because some things cannot be changed to your exact specifications.  Complain that your exact specifications are the only thing that is worth it.

Emergency, everybody to get from street.
