  •  Then you're on the wrong site (0+ / 0-)

You have no purpose in being at DKos if you want to elect republicans to office.

First, I never said anything about electing Republicans.  You really need to engage your reading comprehension.

Second, you're like the fourth person in two days to make dumb blanket statements about the futility of non-Democrat purists attending Daily Kos.  Kind of an odd reelection strategy, don't you think?

See, I'm an actual liberal.  Not a pragmatist, not a fake-ass progressive, but a liberal.  I've earned the right to wave this flag.  I'm a Gulf War Veteran suffering from Gulf War Syndrome, a political junky, a professional Federal healthcare policy wonk, and a proud American.  You really don't think the Daily Kos has room for someone like me?  I suspect that most likely disqualifies you more than it does me.

      •  Read the FAQ (0+ / 0-)

The purpose of this website is to elect more and better Democrats.

It is not a soapbox on which to proclaim that you won't be voting for the Democratic candidate for president.

        •  Yeah, I did read the FAQ (0+ / 0-)
          Who posts here?

The quick answer is "anyone who wants to". There are a wide variety of people writing diaries and comments on dkos. They include elected politicians, candidates hoping to become elected politicians, experts in a range of fields, and active bloggers from around the net. The vast majority of writers, however, are ordinary citizens interested in talking about and participating in the political process. The majority of people posting here fall on the liberal side of the US political spectrum, however people of conservative views are welcome to come and debate. If you are polite, you will be treated politely. Unfortunately, there are some people who post comments or diaries with the sole purpose of provoking others. These people are called trolls. Some tips and techniques for dealing with trolls are described below.

Note that there is no purity test, no Dem membership card required.  I can be "interested in talking about and participating in the political process," and apparently that's all the cover Kos charges for entry.  So since the people who own the site don't mind that I'm not a Democrat and that I'm occasionally pissed off at Democrats, who are you?

Anyways, whatever.  It was like one line among many, and it wasn't even the point of the diary.  In fact, this diary was about how I wanted Obama to get another term of office, so I think you've WAY overblown the fact that I'm not a fan of his.

by someone else on Daily Kos.  I still don't come by here often because of it.

You should not monitor what others say, just because you don't agree with them, Raven.
