    and Aljezeerha reports of steam coming out of the cracks around the vessles, indicating that one of the cores may have hit the water table?

    If so, how long would we expect this to spew radioactive steam?

    And, at what levels?

      about this, and Jacobs was linking it with big aftershocks. TEPCO has reported that the basements are taking on groundwater now, so it's a possibility. I would have expected some big hydrogen explosions blowing out fissures rather than just steam out of the ground, but we've never actually seen anything like this so nobody's entirely clear on which of the probabilities would play out.
