      •  The Philadelphi corridor is a strip along the (0+ / 0-)

entire southern border of Gaza and reportedly about a hundred meters wide, which was reportedly installed by one of the early deals about the southern border as being  under the control of Israel. It was or may have been surrendered by Israel as part of the partial release of Gaza when Ariel Sharon acted,  but it is not clear to me whether that release to Gaza at the time of Sharon's actions was internded or is understood to be permanent. Its clear functional purpose if it exists still was to give Israel at that time complete if very narrow control over Gaza's southern border from end to end if it wanted it.

        What's BGF?

        •  I know what the corridor is (0+ / 0-)

The BGF is the EGYPTIAN BORDER GUARD FORCE. They are who patrols and controls the corridor.
