Your link discusses GE and not the BOA claim you posted here.

Secondly, further down in that same link about says this (and you fail to mention this-(my emphasis)

Samuels said at a tax forum in February that GE needs a tax system that will let it compete effectively with giant, foreign-based multinationals like Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Phillips. However, their effective tax rates for earnings purposes last year were 40 percent, 31 percent and 26 percent respectively, compared with 7 percent for GE.

Yes GE must compete effectively with foreign based multinationals whose effective tax rates for earnings were higher than GE's...

And please don't think we're stupid and condescend to us saying "it's just so complicated", because we get it and know the truth.  GE pays the salaries of tax attorneys and  hires tax accountants to avoid paying taxes and exploit and use every loophole available to them to lessen their tax burden. But I don't want to hear how freakin overburderned and overtaxed they are here...they're not.

Selectivity Mr. Wurster.  You accuse others of not telling the whole story when you yourself do the same exact thing. Shame on you.

Welcome to the Plutocratic States of America. The best government money and corporations can buy. A government of, for, and by the top 1%.

Whether it's GOP or Dem, as long as the leadership in both ignores voices like Sanders, we will keep on keeping on with what we have today - decline of the middle class, unions, outsourcing and resourcing up the wazoo for the wealthy = recipe for banana cream republic pie.

Lone wolf yelling alarming truths at the moon.

      W. Buffet now making noises about capital gains as well?

They will use his scold to shave a few slivers off the obscene chunk we donate to our wealthy, which, for them, will be like shedding skin cells. And then the pols will claim theyve done something for us.

      Thanks for the skin cells!

Makes me think of Cenk Uygur, whenever I hear about GE (and their gentle giant friend, Comcast). MSNBC replaced him with Obama water carrier Al Sharpton - gave him the hook because too many powerful "believers" thought he was too loose a brick in propping up the establishment wall, which includes carrying on the traditional fiction that Obama and the Dems really offer an alternative to this catastrophic bleeding of our national wealth by the wealthy.

I know there are a lot of Cenk downers here. Say what you will, downers, I watched the whole line up and there was no one who came back with sharp follow ups to fudging Dem pols like Cenk... on little issues like Social Security. Etc. He didnt let them get away with their scare call of "GOP wants to privatize! We dont!!!" Yeah, but what is all that wiggle room all about? He was a pain.

      Too bad he's gone.

Should a "progressive" Dem blog dwell in the safe zones of a lame party, or should it drive a lame party to break out? If it cant, should it break out?
