    ...in any way by Rick Perry and his aides. He's saying exactly what he thinks, and I sure would love to see him have to explain this to, for example, seniors in places like Florida. I suspect his general election problems have just begun, and if Republicans really think he'll be a winning candidate, the only folks they are fooling are themselves.

      but by continually keeping this radical agenda in the spotlight, there eventually will be traction. After all, Ronald Reagan started with the bankrupting of the Federal Treasury, and the policies of the future Republicans kept adding to it. Now, debt reduction seems to be the primary focus of the Obama administration. So they were victorious over a 30 year period.
      That's why I think Obama is a sap. He played directly into their long-term shifting of the discourse to the far right, rather than moving it back to the "middle."
