when a politician's poll numbers crater you don't ask what's wrong with the people.
    You address their problems.

President Obama's poll numbers are collapsing; can we focus on reversing that?

Every moment President Obama spends talking about deficit/debt reductions is a moment spent undermining himself.
    In my opinion.

Can we ask him to stop?
He's got a year to drop deficit-obsession and recalibrate; do you mind if we try to convince him?

    •  Gee, you got all of that out of this diary? (0+ / 0-)

A lot better than I could manage.

In the meantime, it is over a year before the majority of voters are even going to start paying attention.

And, while saying Obama's poll numbers are "cratering" is hyperbolic at best, he is also "cratering" in polls that likely have nothing to do with the election.

For example, look at the PPP poll released yesterday:  Nancy Pelosi took a five point hit.  Now, Congress hasn't been in session for weeks, Pelosi isn't the Speaker, and she hasn't been in the news as far as I know.  But, last week, according to the PPP poll, she became five points less popular than the week before.

It is crazy-assed end-of-summer August polling, it is over a year before the election, and the media has been fixated on the Republican nomination.

Re-calibrate that for me.  Meanwhile, I expect the President and his political advisers have the matter under more scrutiny than any of us do.

And, I certainly am not going to suggest that he change something based on a diary with such paltry information and virtually non-existent analysis of what little information it does have.

you are really dense and deluded.
