  •  Who are our Koch brothers? (4+ / 0-)

We can "pressure" faux-Democrats all we want, but without real money backing us, they'll just keep flicking us off like flies.

The teabaggers wouldn't have had any impact without organized, large-scale financial backing by interested parties. Until wealthy progressives (and there are plenty of them) wake up and understand what's going on, it's not going to happen on our side.

    •  So the folks in Wisconsin (4+ / 0-)

      needed Koch bro money?

I have also been noticing that the Republicans are not too pleased with the outcomes Town Hall Meetings themselves lately...

The one thing the teabaggers are good at....is acting up enough to get noticed.

We need to get creative and get some fucking attention....and we have at least one strength the Rightwing lacks....humor!

Protests have worked historically - when lots of people have been truly mobilized.  I don't know where people get the idea that this isn't true.  It's not like it has been tried and failed. In some instances, it has had limited success (gay rights groups, immigrants rights groups) and for the most part, it hasn't happened yet.

We don't need the rich to save us.

Politics is the art of the possible, but that means you have to think about changing what is possible, not that you have to accept it in perpetuity.
