      guys before.  Didn't see this until after I posted my comment (below).  

      I was just thinking about a site near Niagara Falls.  Fort George.

      It has been restored and is a tourist attraction.  On my visit there, it tickled my fancy to see so many Americans.  Even though American forces did capture Fort George in 1813 (a fact not overly emphasized by Parks Canada), the Canadians recaptured it seven months later.  

      Not sure the American tourists realized how the War of 1812-1814 turned out.  As I said to an American friend, if we'd lost the battles fought along the Niagara River, I'd have been able to vote for Barack Obama.  :)
