Of the jobs outline he announced he would annouce a few weeks ago.

Any true robust jobs outline starts with extending unenployment benefits. I would also like to see green jobs get back on track.  We also need to provide states and cities with funds to extend union contracts with public employees into 2013. That will help both in jobs created and saved and inject progressive pols with the necessary funds to campaign in 2012.

that extending jobs to public employees guarantees more money going to progressive causes. And I know you actually hate that idea, despite your attempt at sounding real.

Well, I suppose there actually may be a smidgen of truth to the claim. But I wonder if you've ever reflected on the way that government contractors -- you know, those largish companies like Raytheon, GE, etc. -- contribute to Republican causes. And I wonder if you've ever looked into which side winds up donating more money to their respective cause. And I wonder if you've ever worried that perhaps the contactors distort the marketplace of ideas far more than the unions do.

But actually, I doubt that you've gotten to the point of worrying about that.

Let us all have the strength to see the humanity in our enemies, and the courage to let them see the humanity in ourselves.
