  •  There was an extension of unemployment. (0+ / 0-)

We did accomplish more than just our repeal of DADT and Affordable Health Care Act when we could reasonably pass our priorities when we had the White House, Senate and House.
Don't forget for that spouse/child/parent/uncle/friends out of work, we both extended unemployment benefits and if those relatives/friends were employed at the state or local level, we saved their jobs with the stimulus.

Don't misread the priorities as being all inclusive of the many accomplishments we achieved from 08-10.

Again, I wish the new health care law was single payer, I wish we had a more robust jobs bill that didn't ever cut off unemployment benefits, I wish we had followed through with more investment in green jobs, so while I am not completely happy, I do give credit for passing our priorities and accomplishing other things as well. Obviously there is much more work to do, and the start is the Jobs Outline that will be announced soon.

Unemployment is better than nothing, but is a piss-poor substitute for work, especially for anybody who was making  a decent living before.

      It is, at best, triage.

Not unappreciated, but bandaging symptoms rather than addressing problems.
