It's all the GOPers are talking about!

Perry has their base really fired up.

I want to see Perry and Romney duke it out.. should be fun!

But most of them haven't been listening to him and don't know much about him.

He comes off like a caricature of Bush, and if Obama won because of Bush fatigue, I don't think Perry is going to get a lot of support.

Romney's the danger -- I think he will walk all over Perry.  And Romney is the one that the big corporate money is going to go to.

        Since iowa?

Perry leads by 20. Romney is toast. The money is going to perry. Romney never had the "money wing" but rather his own rich buddies in Utah. The GOP has been holding back to funnel money and they recognize that perry may be unbeatable in a primary dominated by partisans. They're busy now trying to get him not to fuck himself too hard. Perry has the same money folks bushie did. Romney IMO was never a frontrunner. Only highest polled by default. Romney is toast hence his sudden effection for tea party labor day parades. Unless perry really really really screws up (really meaning more than calling for secession and saying social security is unconstitutional) he's going to be the nominee.

at just how many people that hang around here at dKos know so little about the competition.  Kinda like all the hooha about Huntsman.. lol.

I have to agree with you that Perry has the momentum.. but how he plays in northern states is still the question.  Romney may still have a shot, but he played it "safe" for way too long and now he's paying for it.

is finished, even if the big money thinks he still has a chance.

    •  Sarah Palin had their base (0+ / 0-)

really fired up to.   And every day she spent on tv in front of the general public, her unfavorables went up and Obama's odds of winning went up.

I really hope that Perry get's that base fired up and cherry red and the sucker plays to it.
