over in Iowa as well.  Many 'old timers' were newbies when Braindead left office the last time.  They remember the shit that came down from the Governor's office and don't want to deal with it now.  Things haven't gone public yet, but many are seeing the writing on the wall.  Fortunately Braindead is just a bad administrator and not nearly as bad as the Teabaggers.

In October of '09, there was a 10 percent across the board expense cut in the State of Iowa.  University of Iowa opened up a voluntary early retirement offer.  They were expecting around 400 people to apply.  Nearly 1000 applied.  Shocked the hell out of university administration!!  Didn't surprise me.....

Is anyone over there in Wisconsin surprised by the numbers of employees taking retirement??

    •  No, we are not surprised (1+ / 0-)

and it's exactly what Walker AKA Alec  are hoping for.

Let's see how many of those posts are filled or how much work is hoisted onto other employees. The diarist includes a link to Laura's writing on punitive rules. There you will see the added hours hoisted onto employees with no pay.
      Such will be the trend.

The flee to retire was already in full swing by March and the trend has continued.

Wisconsin, reclaiming its State motto: Forward!
