    ...putting up with the former Boy Mayor all those years, not to mention my first supervisor, who seemed hell-bent-for-leather to get me fired. Thank G-d for AFSCME! I also had to put up with a lot of other crap as well. Of course, I only have 30 quarters into SS, and even if I worked another 10 quarters, the windfall exemption would only give me a fraction of a pittance. That's the trade-off. And as long as Boy Mayor is alive, I figure my pension is safe, since he gets paid from the same fund!

      I think I'd top out at $1,000 a month or something, but I still feel pretty fortunate compared to a lot of people I talk to here.

      Anyway, it's a shame we're all not going up to the your level of benefits rather than going down to the Walmart level of benefits.

      Ideology is an excuse to ignore common sense.
