    •  You obviously didn't get the point. (5+ / 0-)

The poster is saying that this isn't worth caring about. There are more important issues to care about than this.

If you seriously get all worked up over this kind of silliness then maybe politics isn't the best place for you.

Every election either the democrats lose or the republicans lose. But in every election there is always the same winner. And he drives a Mercedes.

      •  how could i fail to "get the point"? (0+ / 0-)

here's MY point, perhaps made a bit clearer:

i was saying to the poster (uid in the 300k range), "if you "don't care" and have "no interest in clicking thru the links and reading the story", why are you in the diary thread in the first place? and in the second place, why is it all you can do to stage-yawn and fecklessly pronounce yourself uncaring and disinterested? who the fuck cares about your lack of care and interest? you had to get into the diary thread and make an announcement? try mixing in an idea now and again!

      Absolutely we need more.

when, for apparently the first time in history, the speaker denies the president his request to address a joint session of congress and, given the nature of the relationship between the two parties, i would judge it to be something beyond "trivial distraction", although you may feel differently
