  •  I admire your confidence. (0+ / 0-)

But I think you have put it backwards. The chances of her winning the primary without the machine pols at least getting out of her way is next to nil.

They may not help her, but they can certainly hurt her chances.

    Again, two words: Robert Reich.

    •  It seems clear that she's a lock for nomination (0+ / 0-)

Sorry, but the field has been cleared for her, before and after her candidacy became obvious.  The most likely credible opponent was Capuano, who bowed out yesterday.  There are no other formidable candidates.

I saw Warren speak at a house meeting (75 attending) in Concord last Saturday.  She was extremely impressive.  Bright, of course, extremely knowledgeable and clear about economic/financial crisis, but also humorous, warm, and engaging.

She was recruited by DSCC and assured of significant support.  I assume every member of the Congressional delegation will be with her, as will the governor and statewide office holders.

And it's a good thing, because the election vs. Brown will be a dogfight, with tons of money coming in for Brown from unidentifiable sources.

If looks could kill it would have been us instead of him.

And I agree that her stock has risen in the last few days. I'm glad to see it.

Whether that has to do with the influence of Menino, the Dem establishment or the DSCC remains to be seen.

I also agree that this will be a dogfight, a nasty battle, and for that reason I'm not assuming anything.

and I tried to get folks to support him last time instead of Coakley--I wrote a diary on the topic.

I live in Acton (formerly Somerville), like you a 60's and '70's (and beyond) activist drawn often to faith-based movements.  I'm at jthannon@gmail.com  Maybe we can connect and contribute to a glorious victory for Warren--or someone else.
