    and some of my earliest memories are of listening to Chick Hearn, probably in 1967 or so, and learning to hate the Celtics, who always found a way to win.

    And yet I have recommended this excellent diary.  Curse you, Ed Tracey!  (And thank you, Bill Russell.)

    In my avatar, the blue bars show how many want Reps who COMPROMISE; the aqua bars show who wants Reps who STAND FAST no matter what. (Left=Overall; Center=Democrats; Right=Republicans.) And there's the problem!

      Some of my first memories are with both my Dad and Grandad, in the garage with Vinnie doing the Dodgers play by play. I liked Ross Porter, who came later, but never much cared for Jerry Doggett. Anyways, Vinnie was the voice of God for me. Chickie baby did the Lakers, the Trojans, Dialing for Dollars, and dog knows what else.
