back from a long one myself).

I am assuming that "gf" means girlfriend!?

I'm thinking that it could be "grandfather" or "gyrfalcon." Each possibility suggests a wonderful walk, with great company, to Urban Eden!

... fiancé, technically.  I located the exact location using google satellite view and added the label "Urban Eden Community Garden" to allow others to find it more easily.

The satellite view makes it look as if the nearby church has a green roof.  As a major advocate of urban agriculture and sustainability, I could hardly pass up the opportunity to see a space like this.  It should be inspirational for our own project.  We are renovating an old warehouse on the south end of town to be a showcase of urban sustainability.

My friend Franz owns Weber's Greenhouses and has been very involved with them.  He has talked to me about doing aquaponics in our warehouse.  We plan to tear the roof off what used to be the boiler room, replacing it with a greenhouse roof.  We will likely included aquaponics along with the hydroponics and traditional growing that we do in it.  We are also hoping to include a chicken coop on the roof, though that will require some changes to Milwaukee ordinances.  Along with Sweetwater, Growing Power is also an inspiration.
