    in that the small parties with narrow constituencies have much more power than what would be commensurate with their electoral support. As long as Netanyahu takes care of the Russian immigrants and the charedim, he will be in power until the 2013 election.

    It should also be noted that the two major parties in Israel are now Kadima and Likud, and both are center-right. (Ireland is the other major democracy where the two major parties are center-right.) There really isn't a lot of difference between them on economic issues today.
